The City of York’s Department of Economic and Community Development will be hosting a series of free workshops for small businesses and entrepreneurs at any stage.
The Mayor and City Council Members of York have issued a Joint Proclamation supporting and endorsing the future naming of the Codorus Greenway as the Governor Tom Wolf Codorus Greenway.
The partnership between the City of York and CRDC is part of “The Bag That Builds” movement. Anyone can pick up green recycled plastic bags from CRDC, fill them with plastic waste, and now drop them off at five possible sites.
Neighbors throughout York City and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 (5-8PM)
Doors open and a free lunch will be served beginning at the noon start time. The program of panelists and speakers begins at 12:30 pm. The keynote speaker is Platinum recording artist Freeway.
Opening Day for York Revolution baseball is Friday, May 5, 2023. Residents in the area of the WellSpan Park will need to obtain parking permits for the season.
Please be advised that in one week (approximately 4/23), weather permitting, Chesapeake Bay Helicopters will be mobilizing to the Met-Ed region to begin performing UV/IR patrols on all Met-Ed 69kV and 115kV lines.
Due to the weather forecast, including possible rain and gusts of wind, the 48th Annual York City Easter Egg hunt has been moved from this Saturday, April 1st to Saturday, April 8th. The time will remain from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The location will remain Kiwanis Lake.
The egg hunt is for children ages 1-13 years of age. This year’s event will feature Kid Zone by Atomic Bounce, Easter Crafts by POP Crafts, Coloring Station by Parliament Arts Organization, and a bike raffle sponsored by various community members as well as organizations. Food will be available for purchase from Bricker’s Fries. All music and announcements will be provided by DJ Cashmere.
