The City of York is in the process of developing Master Plans for Farquhar Park, Kiwanis Lake, Noonan Park, and Bantz Park. The Master Plans will provide a blueprint for future improvements to the existing and potential new park facilities.
Due to the water restrictions that York Water Company has put into effect as of Friday, September 16, 2023, the Garden Club of York will be limiting the watering of the hanging baskets and planting containers to which they attend around the City of York.
The following construction projects are scheduled for the week beginning September 18 and will affect traffic in the City of York. Pending weather or other unexpected events, the projects will close the indicated roads:
The City of York and the York Academy Regional Charter School have announced traffic flow changes for the Academy’s Lower School. This involves Beaver Street, West North Street, Gay Avenue, and Cherry Lane during the morning hours from 6:00 am to 9:00 am and the afternoon hours from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The changes will assist in providing safe drop-off and pick-up of children attending the York Academy Regional Charter School while school is in session.
